From the 3rd to the 7th of May 2011, NISI MASA representatives from across the network gathered in Pristina, Kosovo, to take part in a seminar on the topic of "Tackling New Media issues".
The seminar focused on the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience with regards to promoting youth audiovisual initiatives and organisations using New Media tools (websites, online social networks, blogs, viral videos, electronic press kits, etc).
Activities included plenary discussions, presentations, workshops and case studies and were supported by guest speakers from the communication/media field. The aim was that organisations were able to develop new strategies for the future.

Members representing the entire NISI MASA network were present at the Early Melons International Student Film Festival in Bratislava (Slovakia) from the 18th - 20th March, for the occasion of our annual General Assembly.
Early Melons shows a diverse selection of Slovak and foreign student films. One of its basic aims is to enrich the offer of audiovisual cultural events in Slovakia and get Slovak audiences closer to the phenomenon of student cinematography. The Early Melons project aims to encourage cultural exchange and partnership between different countries and schools.

kino5 organised in cooperation with NISI MASA a video journalism workshop during the CROSSING EUROPE Film Festival in Linz, Austria, from the 12th - 17th of April 2011.
Young video journalists and filmmakers (ages 18 – 30) from France and Slovenia made a daily TV programme on DORF TV (a new user generated TV station in Linz).
We were again at the festival where it once all began for Nisimazine: Cannes! Seven print issues and extended coverage on www.nisimazine.eu were made by a new team of young journalists.
We covered the 64th edition of the festival with film critics, photographers and videobloggers from Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Estonia who formed an editorial team from the 10th to the 22nd May.

EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH 2011
Initiated in 2007, European Short Pitch is a scriptwriting and pitching project aiming to support the development of young directors and to get their short films made as European coproductions. The 5th edition in 2011 was composed of a rewriting sesion and a producer’s forum.
Script&Pitch Workshops is an advanced development course for European scriptwriters and story editors. Candidates from the rest of the world can apply as well through Script&Pitch Workshops International.
We invited everyone who loved film posters as much as films, to take part in a film poster workshop in the framework of FILMINI International Short Film Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 13th - 17th October 2010.
The workshop was led by the guest tutor Jerzy Skakun from the Polish design studio Homework. It was held from the 12th to 16th of October in Sofia at The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate. Applicants from Romania, Turkey, Germany and Bulgaria took part.
Jerzy Skakun created Homework studio in 2005. He is the winner of awards at several biennales around the world, and has exhibited his works in Berlin, Paris and London. He has created posters for the screenings of films like “Babel”, “Jeanne d'Arc”, “Casablanca”, “Hair”, as well as the films of Charlie Chaplin and the official poster of Krakow International Film Festival. The second edition of Nisimazine IDFA was be held from the 18th of November until the 26th of November 2010 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, during the 23rd edition of the biggest documentary festival in the world!
We invited 12 young Europeans to cover the festival during a 10 days workshop, publishing their articles, photos and videos online at www.nisimazine.eu.
