Palunko - A place for film stories!
Created in 2003, Palunko is a long-term project under the Croatian Film Clubs' Association (founded in 1963). Our goal is to develop the culture of screenwriting in Croatia by organising screenwriting workshops for young people and familiarising the general public with the art of film story-telling. So far, four workshops for short feature films have been organised (involving altogether more than 40 participants) in cooperation with two film festivals in Zagreb. As of 2005, the best scipt created during the workshops has been selected for production by the CFCA.
In the future we plan to increase our cooperation with similar associations from abroad and with production companies in order to create a pool of screenplays in our country and to improve the way screenwriting is perceived in Croatia.
Palunko has been a member of NISI MASA since 2006 and its members have taken part in some important projects organised within the network.
