 Amadou, a 20-year old Senegalese clandestine immigrant, is on his way to Europe hidden in the luggage hold of a coach linking Tangiers to Brussels. During a stop, the door of the hold opens briefly. Amadou makes an unpleasant discovery: a new passenger has entered his small world, and is willing to travel with him...

 

Winner of NISI MASA's 2006 script competition, Harragas by Grégory Lecocq is now the latest addition to the family of NISI MASA films. Lecocq graduated in Script and Cinematographic Analysis (ELICIT) from Brussels University in 2003.

 

Some of his screenplays have been awarded in other script contests such as: Best screenplay at Media 10-10 festival with “Où s’en va le blanc quand fond la neige?” ; Best screenplay at Brussels Short Film Festival with Les choux de Bruxelles. Harragas is his first effort in directing.
