The 4th edition of the NISI MASA European Short Film Script Contest, on the theme “Silence”, came to an end on the 5th of November 2005 with the announcement of the three European Awards.
The jury, gathered in Berlin (Germany) along the InterFilm Festival, rewarded:
- Lily, by Marianne Griolet (Sweden)
- Sea Bass Dream, by Claudio Lauri (Italy)
- If I Fall, by Hannaleena Hauru (Finland)
The three scriptwriters each got a prize worth 4 700 euros in order to produce their awarded scripts into short films. These prizes include post-production works by the company LVT.
For its 4th edition, the NISI MASA contest was open for people between 18 and 28 years in 15 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK). About 700 scripts dealing with the theme “Silence” were collected this year!
Besides the 3 European winners, several finalist scriptwriters were invited to participate Defeaning Silences, a scriptwriting workshop from the 21st till the 29th of January 2006, during the Premiers Plans Festival of Angers (France).
