PRODUCTION NOTES
Sea Bass Dream was shot in summer 2006 over just three days. It was necessary to recreate the atmosphere of a Neapolitan market because it was very complicated to film directly in a real one such as Montesanto (petty criminality, noise, traffic…). On the other hand, setting the scene in a real fish shop wouldn’t be realistic at all because no fishmonger would shut down his business for 5 days!
In any case, 70% of the scenes were filmed outdoors. Although it’s well-known that in July Naples is always very sunny and hot, unfortunately the summer of 2006 was somewhat exceptional. In fact there were three "funny" days of rain, so the crew of Sea Bass Dream was forced to take advantage of the few sunny intervals for the shooting.
