The French group was originally composed of a few friends with a passion for cinema, aiming to create a European Network of Young people in favour of European cinema.
It then grew up and became a legal association, named NISI MASA France and based in Paris. Today its goals are both to act according to the NISI MASA spirit, that is to help the network to promote young European cinema, and to carry out more local activities in order to help young people use cinema as a medium of expression and reflection.
Thus, like the other NISI MASA associations, it organises seminars, workshops about scriptwriting and directing, script readings and screenings of European films, in the framework of festivals or conferences. Since May 2007, they organise each two months screenings of European short movies called “CinéPudding” in partnership with Paris Jeunes Associations and Les Voûtes.
First Contact with NISI MASA: Together with groups from 6 other European countries, they succeeded in creating the NISI MASA Association in 2001 and in launching the 1st NISI MASA European Script Contest for short film scripts in 2002.
