Russia’s NISI MASA member, Generation Campus supervises for the second time at the Russian Pavillion in Cannes, an interesting event during the 65th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
This event (19th May) will be dedicated to training, education and festivals for young filmmakers and its main purpose is to present to the international professional community state and privately funded educational initiatives in the field of cinematography form Russia and abroad and to establish further connections between similar Russian and European programs.
In the other hand, the event will also introduce potential young participants to the ways of taking part in training and internship programs for young aspiring filmmakers and due to the severity of the problems of contemporary film education in Russia, organizers are firmly convinced that this event will be interesting to all parties involved. The possibilities of cooperation between the most famous and intensive European training programmes and Russian educational initiatives will surely increase the level of participants and open a new world of opportunities for young filmmakers interested in international career.
For the international audience there will be a chance to know more about international short competitive film festivals, to get acquainted with their colleagues from Russia who are this year participating in different programs in Cannes IFF, and to build a strong network for realizing their future plans and projects.
